Udi vs Quejos Pizza Crust

I went with the Udi Regular crust versus the Quejos Cheese Pizza Crust.  I placed both on the rack to maintain consistency and followed their directions.

Here are the pies:
Start with some tomato paste thinly spread on the pie, next drizzle some olive oil, then add the toppings (pie #1: prosciutto, fresh basil, thinly sliced mushrooms; pie#2: ham, fresh pineapple), add cheese (mozzarella or non-dairy), top with some more drizzled oil.  Depending on how you like your cheese soft or slightly brown, pull out your kick-ass pies.

Which pie was the winner?
Split-decision.

Quejos is from Vancouver, the crust is a little oily (tasted before without oil added), and is super crispy.

Udi is from Colorado, the crust is less crispy due to the complexity of the shell (thicker than it's competitor).

They both have similar nutritional value, but we are eating pizza so who cares!  If you are feeling really lazy and want the best GF pies in Vancouver go to the Rocky Mountain Pizza Factory.

  1. Can you have spelt flour GF Hippie? I can email you a good spelt pizza crust recipe. You can make it at our place (need a mixer) and freeze them for whenever you want.
